This is a super-private video chat just for two people — no big company watches or saves what you say or show!
When you open the page, it asks to use your camera and microphone so you and your friend can see and hear each other. You get a secret 6-digit number (your ID). Share it only with the person you want to chat with.
After that quick introduction, your video, voice, and chat messages go straight from your device to your friend's device — directly between your two browsers (called peer-to-peer). No middle server keeps anything.
Just remember: only share your 6-digit ID with someone you really trust!
It's much more private than most video chat apps like Zoom because nothing gets sent to or stored on an outside server — video, voice, chat, and files all stay directly between you and your friend's browsers.
That said, either person can choose to record the call or save files you send each other, right on their own device — just like they could take a photo of their own screen during any call. Files and recordings saved this way stay in your browser's local storage on your device (see the Media tab) until you delete them or clear your browser data.
If you record, please let the other person know!
Audio
Audio button controls your microphone.
When the icon shows a normal microphone, your friend can hear you.
Tap the button to mute — the icon will get a slash through it, and your friend won't hear you anymore.
Tap again to turn the microphone back on.
Use this when you need quiet or don't want background noise to go through.
Chat
Chat button opens the chat panel on the side.
You can type messages and hit Send (or press Enter on your keyboard).
Tap the paperclip icon to send pictures, videos, audio clips, or files like PDFs.
Your messages appear in green bubbles on the right. Your friend's messages are in gray bubbles on the left.
If you get a new message while the chat is closed, a small red notification appears on the button so you know.
Pictures, videos, and audio clips you send or receive also show up automatically in the Media tab.
Contacts
Contacts button opens your saved contacts list.
Tap "Add Contact" to save a person's name, phone number, or email.
Once saved, you can quickly send them an invite link by text (SMS) or email with one tap.
Contacts are saved only in your browser — nobody else can see them. When you clear your internet history they will be deleted.
Map
Map button shows where you and your friend are during the video chat.
Your spot appears as athat points the way you're facing, and your friend's spot shows as a .
A bright yellow line will then show how far apart you are from your friend and how long it would take to meet them.
Location sharing only happens while the call is on and the map is open — nothing gets saved after you hang up or close it.
The first time you tap the Map button, your browser will ask permission to use your location — just say yes.
This makes it easy to find each other or see how close you are, and stays just as private as your video and chat messages.
Media
Media button opens your shared media library.
Any pictures, videos, audio clips, or documents you or your friend send in the chat automatically show up here.
If you record a call, the recording is automatically saved here as soon as the call ends.
Click any stored media item to replay or view it in the media tab's viewer.
Tap the share icon on a photo, video, audio clip, or document to send it to someone else. Call recordings have a download icon instead, since sending large video files can be unreliable over cellular — download it, then share it from your device's own Photos or Files app.
Tap the trash icon to delete just that one item, or use "Clear All" at the top to wipe the whole library.
Everything here is saved on your device (not sent anywhere) so it's still there next time you open the app.
Recording someone without telling them isn't cool — always let the other person know before you hit record.
Video
Video button controls your camera.
When the icon shows a normal camera, your friend can see you.
Tap the button to turn the camera off — the icon will get a slash, and your friend will see a friendly placeholder picture instead:
Tap again to turn the camera back on.
Turning it off saves battery and gives you more privacy when you need it.
